Refinishing & Restoration
Cabinetry, staircases, doors and heritage millwork brought back to life — sanded, repaired and re-finished in a fraction of the cost of replacement.
Sometimes the cabinetry is sound, the layout works, and the only thing wrong with the room is the finish. Refinishing strips the worn, yellowed lacquer or paint back to bare wood, repairs damaged sections, replaces broken hardware, and lays down a fresh hand-rubbed oil-and-wax or hand-applied paint finish. We refinish kitchen cabinetry, full staircases (treads, risers, handrails), interior doors, heritage panelling, and one-off furniture pieces. Done on site or in the shop, depending on scope.
The specifics.
01
Sand to bare, finish to fresh
Old yellowed lacquer comes off completely. We finish with hand-rubbed oil-and-wax on solid wood, or a hand-applied paint on paint-grade carcasses.
02
Repair what's broken
Loose drawer fronts, cracked panels, worn-out hinges, sagging doors — repaired or replaced before any finish goes on.
03
Heritage millwork too
Original 1920s wainscoting, crown moulding, banisters, panelled doors — restored carefully without losing the patina that makes them worth keeping.
04
On site or in the shop
Smaller jobs run on site over a week. Bigger refinishes move into the workshop and come back installed — less dust, faster, sometimes cheaper.
