The Workshop
Made by hand in Calgary.
A small shop in Calgary. Long benches, raw walnut, hand tools where they earn their place. Nothing is subcontracted — drawn, machined, and finished by the same team, in this room.
Under one roof.
Our workshop is in southeast Calgary. The whole studio works in one open room — benches at one end, machinery at the other, a finishing area separated only by a draught of natural light from a row of clerestory windows.
We are open to clients during a project. Most visit at least once during their build. By appointment.

The library.
Three of the species we reach for most often. The full library is much wider — we work in solid maple, ash, cherry, ebonised walnut, fumed oak, reclaimed Douglas fir and any wood you bring to the first conversation. These are starting points, not a menu.

American black walnut
Our default for tone-rich work. Sourced from a small mill in Pennsylvania, sticker-dried in our shop for at least eight months before it sees a saw.

Rift-cut white oak
For doors, drawer fronts, panelling. Quarter- and rift-cut only — straight grain, dimensionally stable, no cathedral patterns.

Fumed walnut
Ammonia-fumed in-shop for projects that want depth without stain. The finish is a chemical reaction with the natural tannins, not a coating.
